Instagram: Deactivate Two Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication is a security feature that helps you to protect your Instagram account. If you have turned on two factor authentication you will be asked to enter a code that has been sent to you on your mobile phone that you have given at the time of activating two factor authentication. In case you have lost your phone or your phone is stolen you can still login into your Instagram account using recovery codes that has been given to you at the time of activating two factor authentication. So two-factor authentication is a very highly secure feature but it is dangerous as well if you are not able to recover your account you will loose all your followers so if you have turn on two-step authentication and you want to turn it off you can follow below given steps:-

1 Go To Profile

To activate two-factor authentication first login into your Instagram account and then click on your profile Picture given at bottom right corner of the screen.

2 Tap On Three Lines

On your profile page tap on three line given on top right corner.

3 Tap On Settings

After taping on three lines you will be asked to choose an operation you need to tap on Settings option given at bottom of the page.tap on settings

4 Select Security

Under settings you will find a bunch of operations select Security.

5 Select Two-factor authentication

Under security tap on Two-Factor Authentication.

6 Tap On Text Message

You will be directed to two-factor authentication, tap on text message.

7 Disable Text Message

Under text message controls tap on text message to disable.

Turn Off Two-Factor Authentication

You will be asked to turn off two factor authentication, tap on turn off to turn it off.

Here your two-factor authentication is turned off.
