Two step verification is a security feature that helps you to protect your Telegram account. If you have turned on two step verification you will be asked to enter a Pass code that has been created by you at the time of activating two step verification
If you want to activate two step verification you have to follow below given steps:-
1 Go to your profile page
To activate two step verification you have to go to your profile, for that you need to tap on three lines given on top left corner of the home screen of Telegram.
2 Tap On settings
Now you will be directed on your profile in which you will get some option to choose you need to click on settings.
3 Tap on Privacy and Security
Under setting you will get a lots of operations to perform, you need to click on privacy and security as the two step verification is related to security you will find the option under privacy and settings only
4 Tap on two step verification
Under security you need to on two-step verification
5 Set password
Now you need make a strong password, try to make a password related to your personal details remember your password should not contain your name or your surname.
6 Enter your password
Now you need to enter the password that you have just made for the verification purpose, enter your password carefully and if you get confused abut the password that you have entered you can click on "eye" button that has been given on right side of the place where you have entered your password.
7 Re-enter your password
You need to reconfirm the password you have just entered for that you need to re-type the password and for confirmation you can tap on the "eye" button which will show you the password you have entered.
8 Give password hint
You will be asked to give a password hint , in case if you forgot the password you have created for verification password hint will help you to recover your password create a hint that will strike your mind and you will get your password.
9 Enter your recovery email
You will be asked to enter your recovery email which will help you to recover your Telegram account, enter only the email that you have access otherwise you might not be able to recover you Telegram account
10 Enter verification code
You will get a verification code on your email that you given for recovery of your account, check your email inbox for the code usually you get the mail within three-four minutes but some time it take time all depends on network if you are unable to find the email check your spam message folder in your email.
If you got the mail enter the code and click on continue
Here your password is set and your two-step verification is activated
