How To Reset Passport Seva Login Id

Because of increasing demand for passports and related services ministry of external affairs has introduce Passport Seva Portal to deliver passport services to people in a time, transparent, more accessible, reliable manner and in a comfortable environment through streamlined processes and committed trained and motivated workforce

Passport Seva enables simple, efficient and transparent processes for delivery of passport and related services, it integrates with the State Police for physical verification of applicant's credentials and with India Post for delivery of passports.

Having an account in Passport Seva Portal will allow you to fill application form online, book your appointment and track your application status so if you have a account in Passport Seva Portal and you are not able to login into the account because of forgotten password you can retrieve your password by following below given steps:-

1 Go to official website

To retrieve your passport you need to go to official website.

2 Click on "Existing user login"

As you have already created login earlier you need to click on "Existing user login" button give on left side of the home page of Passport Seva Portal.

3 Click on "Having trouble in logging in"

To login into your Passport Seva Portal account you need to give the login id which is your email id but as you have forgotten your password and you are having trouble in logging in you need to click on "Having trouble in login in" link given below of login id box.

4 Enter your details

After clicking on "Having trouble in logging in" you need to fill the details like your email if that you have given at the time of creating account, your date of birth (DOB) that has to be same as you have entered earlier while making this account then you need to choose the option between to send link on your mail id or give a answer to the hint question, select any option, enter captcha(use speaker button if you are unable to understand captcha) then click on "continue button"

5 Answer hint question

If you have selected to answer a hint question you will be directed to the password reset page where you need to fill again all your details like your login id or email id, your DOB and then answer your hint question, the question was preselected so it will help you to recall the possible answer that you might have given please do not enter wrong answer more than three time. After given correct answer you need to create an password that must contain one digit one lower case or upper case alphabets. After creating the password, enter once again the password then click on submit.

6 Send link to your email

If you have forgot the answer that you given at the time of creating user id then you can reset the password by sending a message to your email that you have registered with Passport Seva Portal.

7 Click on link

After sending reset password link to your email id you need to click on the link. You will receive the email from @email check the spam folder in you email in case you have not received the email within 15 minutes.

Reset your password

After clicking on the link you will be directed to the reset password page where you need to create a password that must contain one digit one lower case or upper case alphabets. After creating the password, enter once again the password then click on submit.

Here your password has been reset you can start using Passport Seva Portal
